The story ~ so far…
Kings-Lane is an independent gallery and studio, based near Oxford, that searches for and sells an eclectic range of mostly – but not exclusively – antique items to private, retail and media clients.
Founder – Paul Thorley – has a particular interest in furniture, art and collectables from the 18th Century onwards and always has an eye open for interesting deviations.
Paul’s love of history and its associated artefacts started at an early age with family holidays and days out centred around visits to country houses, museums and places of interest – a thread he has continued into his own family and one that subconsciously piqued his interest in a career that started with formal art history, design and photography training at Winchester School of Art, a degree in Graphic Design from Newport, South Wales and later a Masters in Marketing Communications from the University of Westminster.
Paul now combines his portfolio of skills, experiences and network to work on freelance projects (analogue and digital) whilst developing the Kings-Lane brand and client experience – and he’s learning heaps on the journey.
